All are welcome to volunteer for this great program at Woodland! The goal is to provide extra sets of eyes and ears to enhance school security and reduce bullying.

Time slots and descriptions:
Please always check in at the Front Office
Before school/drop off: 7:30-8:10
-Help students enter the school, assist with drop-off, help students in the halls as they are going to class, assist in the cafeteria during breakfast, check all exterior doors once school has started.
Recess/Lunch Blocks:
-Assist the TA's on the playground and in the lunchroom by helping students
10-11 recess/lunch block
10:25-11:25 recess/lunch block
10:55-11:50 recess/lunch block
11:15-12:15 recess/lunch block
11:40- 12:40 recess/lunch block
12:05-1:05 recess/ lunch block
End of day/Pickup: 2:35-3:00
-Help students get to the bus, clubs, or pickup lane
Cherry Creek School District requires all volunteers in school to complete a District Volunteer Application. If you have not completed one, please do so here.
Woodland Elementary Watch D.O.G.S. Expectations:
Thank you for Volunteering!!
· Always wear Watch Dog Lanyard or Name Badge
· Stop at the office if you have any questions
· Be approachable – smile, talk to the students, listen to them
· Be smart – follow the school’s policy on appropriate conduct and behavior with the students and
faculty.
· Review our school rules of Be Bold, Be Brave, Be Brilliant, and Bounce
· Review the Playground and Lunchroom rules
· Be alert – if a situation arises, please report it to a school staff member
· Be available – the goal is to be of service to the school, teachers, and students
Be a positive role model and set an example – as a Watch D.O.G.S. volunteer, place a check next to each box you have read and agree to uphold:
Follow the school’s confidentiality policy in regard to students and staff
Students' information is private and should never be discussed outside of school
Never use the student (boys’ or girls’) restrooms
Always use the staff bathroom in the office
Never be alone with students
Always be visible to others
Do not disrupt classes that are in session
Do not use profanity
Do not use any form of tobacco, alcohol or illicit drugs on the school grounds
Do not share religious or political views
Do not give out food or candy to students
Never engage in any conduct that brings disrespect to yourself or your student(s), the school, and or Watch D.O.G.S. program and other volunteers.
